EORS awards
The winner of each award will receive a small cash prize.
EORS Award: The best 5 abstracts submitted for EORS2010
are selected to present in a special awards session. From these a winner
is selected for the EORS award.
Göran Selvik award: The Göran Selvik award
is for the best presentation concerning radiographic methods and measurements
at the EORS2010.
Swiss Society for Biomaterials Student awards
Swiss Society for Biomaterials (SSB) Awards are for the best student
oral and poster presentations at the EORS2010.
The Swiss Society for Biomaterials (SSB) sponsors the awards, which consists
of a certificate (which can be documented on the curriculum vitae) and
a cash prize.
All students submitting accepted abstracts will be considered for the
awards. Please check the relevant box on the abstract submission form.
Proof of student status will be required.
Rules
To qualify for the Student awards the candidate be registered student
at a University (Letter from Dept. head required) at undergraduate or
postgraduate level. The student must be first-listed and presenting author.
The submission must clearly be the work of the applicant and not that
of any co-author.
Please ensure the student check box is ticked during abstract submission.
Independent reviewers will assess presentations or posters of all the
eligible candidates and independently judge their performance. Evaluation
criteria will include quality and presentation of material in the abstract;
the contribution of the presented work to the field; the clarity and the
informative aspects of the presentation; the appropriate use of visual
aids; the ability to interact with the audience during the discussion
period including the presenters knowledge of the research field
and the presenter's actual involvement in the entire project.
